This was a monster. Designed from scratch for all 11 global markets and their corresponding languages, available products, brand ambassadors and skin concerns.
The existing site was basically a carousel of print ads from the local region with no real meaning or role to play for the brand. This had to change.
I wanted to make the brand site the central component of SK-II's digital ecosystem. Everything was designed from the ground up to anticipate user questions and needs based on data collected from each market. She could explore a wide range of global and local content helping her find the product that was right for her. A full comprehensive content calendar was developed to accommodate updates every week, month and quarter. We developed completely new ways to automate product recommendations based on skin type, desired look, age, skin problem, product form and popularity. Responsive product descriptions were built into the CCS to load based on search behavior.
